Situated between Cortina d’Ampezzo and Selva di Cadore, Giau Pass (2236 m) or Passo di Giau is a convenient starting point for this tour, although other starting locations are possible as well.
Approach to start
From Passo di Giau we hike on path 443, then turn left on path 438 to the start of the via ferrata.
The route
Without posing technical difficulties, this route is suitable for beginners as well. The scenic views complement the climb well and make the entire hike worth it.
The route has two distinct sections, separated by a hike on the rocky plateau below Nuvolau.

Good to know
- You can include via ferrata Averau as an extension of the tour.
